TMTG Director Eric Swider announces Rs 1 lakh cr investment in Telangana at Global Summit

Hyderabad, Dec 8 (UNI) Eric Swider, Director of the Trump Media & Technology Group (TMTG), on Monday praised Telangana’s rapid growth and investor-friendly environment, announcing his intention to deploy up to Rs 1 lakh crore over the next decade in Future City and associated development projects.
Speaking at the Telangana Rising Global Summit 2025 at Bharat Future City, Swider said he was “honoured and grateful” to be in Telangana and expressed deep appreciation for the hospitality extended by Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy and the state government.
Swider, who formerly served as CEO of Truth Social, said the warmth and professionalism he experienced during his visit had left a lasting impression.
He noted that Telangana’s growth over the past two days had “blown him away,” praising the state for creating conditions where global capital feels welcome.
He emphasised that investment decisions are not only about returns but about contributing to meaningful, long-term global change, and said Telangana provides such an opportunity.
Reflecting on his experience taking Truth Social public, Swider spoke about the importance of freedom of expression and the challenges faced by technology companies.
He praised India’s rise as a global technology leader and said the state’s innovation ecosystem, combined with its openness to investors, made it an attractive destination.
He said Chief Minister Revanth Reddy had made it “absolutely clear” that Telangana is open for business and poised for significant global partnerships.
In a virtual address, Jeremy Jurgens, Managing Director and Head of the World Economic Forum’s (WEF) Centre for Frontier Technologies and Innovation, said Telangana had emerged as one of India’s fastest-growing states and a global hub for IT, finance and life sciences.
He said the Telangana Rising vision stands out because it combines large-scale industrial projects—such as AI City and Future City—with a people-centric approach focusing on women, youth and farmers.
Jurgens said the WEF sees Telangana as a potential role model for regions worldwide and looks forward to deeper collaboration, including during the Chief Minister’s visit to Davos in January 2026.
Earlier, Telangana Governor Jishnu Dev Varma inaugurated the Global Summit 2025. Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka, union Minister Kishan Reddy, Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar, Nobel Peace Prize laureate Kailash Satyarthi, DGP Shivdhar Reddy, and several national and international dignitaries were present.
